Industry-related research institutions such as the FZI maintain particularly intensive contacts with the companies in the cooperating sectors as part of their industrial projects. In order to improve the FZI’s integration into the industries beyond the scope of these project-related contacts and into the general economic scene regionally, the Förderverein FZI e. V. was established in 1984 by 26 founding members. Today, the association has about 80 members.
The Sponsors’ Association is a network of companies and other organisations with legal capacity that want to use modern information technologies. To this end, they maintain contact with each other and with the FZI and support the work of the research institution.
