Webinar: 100% Compliance in OBD – Silver Scan-Tool™ with ZEVonUDS
2025-10-13
In this free webinar, our OBD experts Peter Stoss and Alexander Karmazin will explain the basics of ZEVonUDS protocol. They will present practical applications for diagnosing electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles via CAN and DoIP in RA Consulting Silver Scan-Tool™ software.
Why do you need ZEVonUDS?
The final regulation of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) defines the first time requirement for On-board Diagnostic System in ZEV and PHEV vehicles. OBD systems must now support the new ZEVonUDS (SAE J1979-3) diagnostic protocol. In this webinar, you will learn more about the connections between UDS protocol (ISO 14229), Digital Annex of E/E Diagnostic Test Modes (SAE J1979-DA), and Diagnostic Trouble Code Definitions (SAE J2012-DA).
Are you already compliant with the new CARB regulations?
Starting from the model year 2026 (partly) and 2027 (fully), the new CARB regulation CCR 1962.5 will introduces several completely new requirements for Light-Duty Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV). ZEVonUDS is the first diagnostic protocol approved in California, which can be implemented conventionally via CAN bus (ISO 11898) or alternatively via DoIP (ISO 13400).
Our experts will show you how you can continue to perform 100% legally compliant diagnostic in the future by using the new ZEVonUDS feature, which is already implemented in our diagnostic software Silver Scan-Tool™ und DiagRA® D.
At the end of the webinar, we will be answering your specific questions in a 10-minute Q&A session.
The webinar addresses users of our Silver Scan-Tool™ and DiagRA® D diagnostic software, as well as developers looking for future-proof ZEVonUDS solutions.
