The challenge
In the vehicle approval process, extensive authority documentation is required. The complete and error-free description of emission strategies requires precise capture of the information.
Previously, these descriptions were manually compiled for each control unit project, leading to additional effort and increased error susceptibility. The goal of the project was to efficiently capture data in a coordination process through the introduction of a central system and ensure optimal quality through technical validations.
Our solution
Using our expertise in developing workflow-based information systems, we developed an IT system in close collaboration with the customer that maps the optimal workflow. In a preliminary study, the requirements of all users were taken into account. The user experience was placed front and center. Together with our UX/UI team, we created user journeys to enable optimal integration of the tool into everyday work.
The users now benefit from the technical integration with existing systems and the use of our standardized A2L/HEX parser to quickly achieve high data quality.
A regular exchange in our agile development process enabled our customer to incorporate adaptations from ongoing operations into the development.

The effort for creating the technical documentation is significantly reduced by the new system. Redundant data capture is avoided and the quality is ensured through various validation steps.
For the users this means less individual work, fewer errors and more time for the development of new innovative driving functions.
Shows the basic look and feel of the end product with placeholders – the real implementation was more complex with a full design system and many iteratively developed views.
