Establishment of subsidiaries in China and the United States

Internationalization

After the successful introduction of RA Consulting software products to automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers in Germany and Europe, the company expanded into the Chinese and American markets.

In 2012, RA Consulting founded its first subsidiary, RA Automotive Engineering Technology, based in Beijing (China).

The establishment of RA Automotive Software Solutions in Troy (Michigan, USA), followed four years later. Due to RA Consulting’s in-depth expertise in the field of on-board diagnostics (OBD), the company already had long-standing contacts with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in 2016, which were further intensified in the following years. Today, RA Consulting can look back on a very successful 25-year collaboration with this authority.

RA Automotive Engineering Technology was set up in 2012 by our technical expert Alex Lue, who still heads it today. Together with five colleagues, Alex supports customers from the automotive industry, organizes trade fair participations, and provides services and consultations on-site.

WELCOME USA

Founded in 2016, the US subsidiary RA Automotive Software Solutions is now managed by Suzanne Weiss. Together with her team, Suzanne takes care of all the concerns and requests of our US customers.

In 2022, we launched a state-of-the-art diagnostic tool in California, the Silver Snap-Tool. It meets all requirements of the California Clean Truck Check (CTC) program for efficient emissions testing and a cleaner environment. RA Consulting’s Silver Snap-Tool was the first solution in this area certified by CARB. The user-friendly software enables truck owners and fleet managers to conveniently capture and quickly transmit the required OBD data to CARB. With over 80,000 Clean Truck Checks already carried out, the distribution of the Silver Snap-Tool contributed to a threefold increase in RA Consulting’s customer base in just two years!

Both subsidiaries are intensively supported by our Director of Sales and Marketing, Mario Hoppe. Thanks to extensive experience with the Silver Snap-Tool, he is also a valued contact for the US team. We are delighted that Mario has been selling RA products worldwide for over 20 years!
