DiagRA® D takes off
When asked: “What is the main product of RA Consulting?”, the answer comes quickly and unanimously: DiagRA® D. Since its introduction in 1999, the comprehensive diagnostic software for electronic control units (ECUs) has established itself as the most successful software tool in our portfolio. Today, 7 out of 10 of the world’s top OEMs as well as numerous Tier 1 suppliers and automotive engineering service providers use the RA software in the development of ECUs and on-board diagnostics (OBD). Customized versions of the comprehensive and extremely user-friendly software are used by authorities on three continents.
DiagRA® D also demonstrates great flexibility and scalability when it comes to interoperability: it can be combined with various simulation, flash, measurement, calibration, and visualization tools as well as ODX databases from RA Consulting and other manufacturers as required.
The professional career of our Director of Automotive Products, Peter Stoß, is also closely linked to the success of DiagRA® D. When he moved from BOSCH to RA Consulting in 1996, he already had considerable expertise in the then still young but pioneering field of “vehicle diagnostics”. As development engineer, Peter quickly recognized the enormous potential of our DiagRA® D diagnostic tool. The innovative product soon found its way into the automotive industry via test drives with test fleets.
In order to keep the software up to date and to meet the strict user requirements of vehicle manufacturers and the various international standards, our OBD expert still regularly attends international conferences and symposiums. Thanks to his decades of professional expertise, Peter is also a regular guest on the podium.
