From an internal tool to a successful simulation software
Diagnostic Simulation with DiagRA® S
The future-oriented diagnostic communication of vehicles is inextricably linked to innovative technologies such as Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) or Zero Emission Vehicles. In addition, the rapidly growing number of electronic components, ever faster iteration cycles and the increasing complexity of on- and off-board communication make the use of simulation tools essential in software development today.
The starting point of our simulation tool DiagRA® S is therefore already around 10 years before its official introduction in 2023. For example, we at RA Consulting have been using our own simulation software for vehicle simulation for a long time to (further) develop our diagnostic tools DiagRA® D and Silver Scan Tool, as well as the Silver Snap-Tool which was developed specifically for the American market. “Since we couldn’t have (all) physical devices on site, our simulation software was further and further perfected and individually set up, e.g., for the J1939 protocol used in US trucks,” reports our diagnostic expert Dr. Alexander Karmazin. He pushed the market launch of DiagRA® S, which finally took place in 2023.
